How to Play Golf Solitaire
🎯 Objective
Clear all 35 cards from the seven tableau columns (7×5 layout) by moving them to the foundation pile. Lower scores are better - like golf!
🃏 Card Movement
Only the top card of each column can be moved. Cards must be exactly one rank higher or lower than the foundation card (suits don't matter). Nothing can be played on Kings!
📚 Stock Pile
When stuck, click the stock pile (16 cards) to deal a new card to the foundation. No reshuffling - use wisely!
🏆 Scoring
Win: Clear all tableau cards = negative points (cards left in stock)
Lose: Cards stuck in tableau = positive points
Lower scores are better!
⚡ Expert Strategies
- Remember: Kings block everything - move them early when possible
- Focus on columns with the most cards to free up more options
- Plan sequences in advance - look for potential runs of 3+ cards
- Save stock cards for when you're truly stuck - no second chances
- Watch for Aces and Kings - they have limited connection opportunities
